কেন তার জন্য সে জানে না, ঝর্না জানে তার কালোসবুজ মাথার ওপর সন্ধ্যাতারার আলো নিয়ে তালুতে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা জামগাছ দুঃখিত কেন তখনো সূর্য ওঠেনি গাছপালা ফুঁড়ে, সিঁদুর মেশানো পানির ওপর দিয়ে ভেসে আসেনি সকালের পাখি পাথরতাড়িত নদী মনোবেদনার পশ্চিমে বেঁকে গেছে প্রশ্নোত্তরহীন! যে কাঁটার নাম ঝর্না সেকি জানে ছায়াছায়া জ্যোৎস্নায় কাঁঠালবাগানে কার মন পড়ে থাকে ছোট এক বোতামের মতো? সূর্য ডুবে যাবার সময় মানুষের চিন্তায় পোকা ওড়ে শত শত অন্যমনস্ক শালবন ভেতরে ভেতরে সংযত প্রতিক্রিয়া জানাবে না জলাশয়ের জটিল ধোঁয়ার! সে জানে না কোথায় স্পর্শ করলে কথা বলে উঠবে আয়নার নিরবতা সে যদি বুঝতো শেষ বিকেলের স্তব্ধ অরণ্যের মানে কেন তার জন্য রাত্রিসমুদ্রের ভয়াবহ চুম্বকের টানে ভেসে গেছি প্রীতিমুগ্ধ সাংঘাতিক বোকার মতো
